My boy isn't feeling good. He has fever and an ear infection. He was throwing up last night too :( he has been cuddling with me this morning, which I love. Of course he has his hat on :)

In other news, we no longer have a computer at home. Boo. Jim has our MAC desktop at the studio and we sold our laptop which is why I haven't blogged in a while. I'm doing this from my phone. I'm really wanting an iPad :) I think I would love the ease of it and the portability!!!

On Saturday, we had john daniels party. It was so much fun!!! We had a bounce house and the kids loved it!! My sweet friend kristen helped me make the train cake...if I van figure our how to add another pic ill post it :)
It was so much fun making it. Now I really wanna have my own bakery :)

I'll post tomorrow about Easter :)

our lives changed forever.

elijah was born.

he is my pride & joy.

he was such a HUGE help to me when jim was deployed.

he was a trooper.

he is definitely ALL boy =)

he loves his brother to pieces.

he is 90 to nothing ALL day long...

ask anybody & they will tell you.

it's so hard for me to believe that he is 5!!!

i love you more than my words or actions could ever express.

you are a joy & a delight.

you are always making us laugh.

i love to hear you sing along with me at nighttime...especially the worship songs.

i love your fun little personality.

2 years ago today my lil man was born!

wow!

i can't believe it has been 2 years.

John Daniel has been pure joy from the day he was born.

he is such a sweet boy.

i didn't ever think another child could have as much energy as elijah...but, john daniel is giving him a run for the money.

he is on the go from sun up to sun down!!!

i have such a close knit bond with both my boys b/c it was just us for about 18 months while jim was deployed!

i love watching elijah & john daniel together -- being brothers and doing what brothers do.

from day one jim and i have prayed that they would be best friends all through out life.

they have a very special bond and elijah is very protective of john daniel =)

i love being the mom of 2 boys!!

john daniel you are such a precious boy.

you are funny.

you are loveable.

you are kind.

you like to sing jesus loves me.

you are talking so much and making complete sense.

you love to give kisses and hugs.

you adore your daddy.

you are slightly attached to your 'bomber' (pacifier) only at night.

you are always happy.

you LOVE to eat.

did i mention how much you love to eat???? ha.

you like praise music and you love to dance to it.

you love wrestling on the floor with daddy.

i love you more than my words could ever express. i am honored to be your mom. the lord has truly blessed me with precious boys. You helped mommy get through some very difficult days when your daddy was gone.

you are a treasure. you are going to live a long and prosperous life, john daniel. the favor and mercy of the lord follow you all the days of your life. you have brought so much joy to our lives!!

it's hard to believe that my youngest is already 2...officially not a baby anymore.

makes me sad.

my prayer for you lil man is that you follow the leading of the Lord always. i pray that you walk in His love. i pray that you won't be attracted to the things of this world but ONLY to the things of the Lord...to LIFE!!! i pray that you listen & obey the Lord.

yesterday we celebrated john daniel's 2nd birthday a few days early!

i made cupcakes b/c i love to make them!!

they are called 'colorburst' cupcakes...

you'll see why in a minute :o)

yes...i took quite a few pics of the cupcakes...but, hey i was quite impressed with how they turned out

i love how the colors just POP and that you can see the colors through the cupcake paper :o)

i'm sure most of you have heard by now of the horrific tragedy at Ft. Hood yesterday.

Please keep the families and friends of all those involved in your prayers.

the news was reporting of soldiers ripping their uniforms apart to help stop those shot from bleeding. i'm sure we will here many stories of heroism over the next few days.

1. i don't like wearing jackets/coats or anything bulky. which poses a problem since the winters here are pretty frigid. boo!!

2. i have used the same brand of eyeliner for about 13 years now.

3. i enjoy celebrity, hollywood {entertainment} news....i know, i'm a dork.

4. the song i walked down the aisle to at my wedding was the wedding march from the sound of music. {i love a pipe organ}.

5. i love to watch baseball or college football.

6. i dream of building a cottage - style home with a pool one day.

7. i miss my family & friends back home.

our baby boy, isn't much of a baby anymore but, a toddler.

he is 18 months old now and talking away.

he is the sweetest little thing ever.

i love this age minus the tantrums!!!

he is growing leaps and bounds every day.

the child will eat any fruit you put in front of him

vegetables are a different story.

he is really into birds, flowers, bananas & cell phones.

he loves to dance and make us laugh.

i love my little man to pieces.

i am savoring each moment with my boys because i am watching them grow right before my eyes.

we are blessed beyond words!!!

i plan on taking tons of pics from our date to topeka!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BOY ELIJAH!!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ELIJAH IS 4 YEARS OLD ALREADY. WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
IT SEEMS LIKE JUST YESTERDAY HE LOOKED LIKE THIS.....

ELIJAH WAS SUCH AN AMAZING BABY. HE SLEPT 12 HOURS A NIGHT AT 8 WEEKS AND HASN'T LOOKED BACK.
HE HAS SUCH A TENDER HEART AND A SWEET SPIRIT. ON THE OTHER HAND, HE IS 100% ALL BOY....PACKED FULL WITH MORE ENERGY THAN I'VE EVER SEEN. HE IS A HANDFUL -- BUT, WHAT 4 YEAR OLD BOY ISN'T??!! {AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TELLING MYSELF TO MAKE FEEL BETTER - HA HA}

WE ALREADY HAD A BIRTHDAY PARTY WHEN JIM WAS HOME. BUT, I HAD TO DO SOMETHING FOR HIM ON THE BIG DAY!! I'M ALL ABOUT BIRTHDAYS AND CELEBRATING AND MAKING THE PERSON FEEL SUPER SPECIAL. SO, TONIGHT WE ARE HAVING FAMILY OVER FOR CAKE AND A FEW PRESENTS!! I WILL POST PICS FROM TONIGHT LATER THIS WEEK.

ANOTHER MILESTONE THAT ELIJAH REACHED WHILE DADDY WAS HOME WAS POTTY TRAINING. I THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA BE 4 YEARS OLD AND STILL IN PULL-UPS!!! HE KEPT TELLING ME HE WAS WAITING FOR DADDY TO COME HOME -- AND TRUE TO HIS WORD HE CAME THROUGH :) WE ARE SO VERY HAPPY FOR HIM...AND ALSO THANKFUL WE DON'T HAVE TO BUY DIAPERS ANY MORE!!!

my baby!

i am having a hard time believing that john daniel is already a year old.
4.27.09 my baby boy turned one. i can't believe just 12 short months ago i was using my epidural pump to numb the lower half of my body. the people that say you forget the 'pain' once your precious little one gets here -- IS NOT TRUE!! i can still remember the pain like it was yesterday.

however,

the 'pain' is so worth it!!! i would do it over again a million times if it meant having my precious boys. i'm telling you -- i am the most blessed mom!! i have the two sweetest and cutest boys ever.

okay, enough gushing!! :o)

we went today to see 'dapa', aka the BEST pediatrician ever, today for john daniel's 12 month check-up.
our baby boy now weighs 18 lb. 3 oz and is 28 3/4 in.
yes, our baby is long & lean! he only gained a few oz in the last 3 months. this baffled me because if you know john daniel, you know his favorite thing to do is EAT, EAT, EAT!!! my boys can put away some food. i don't even want to think about what our grocery bill will be when they are teenagers. geesh.

but, he got a clean bill of health from the doc :o)

oh! i can't believe i almost forgot this BIG milestone.
NO MORE BOTTLE.
he has been off the bottle for 8 days now :o) this is a big deal, since elijah didn't give it up til he was almost 18 months old.
i know, i know...please, don't judge me!!

needless to say, i am one PROUD mama!

he is crawling all over the place and he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth (unlike his brother).
he is saying a few words:
mamamama (usually, just when he's upset -- but, hey, i'll take it however i can get it)
da da :=)
bye-bye
ball
and believe it or not....he said 'balloon' tonight! (yes, he is a genius don't be jealous :)

last night, we had a small, family party. john daniel had a great time. enjoyed every minute of his SWEET treat!! he is quite the entertainer AND was loaded up on sugar!!!

i wanted to make him red velvet baseball cupcakes.
i have always had a secret (not so secret anymore) dream to own my own 'cupcake' business. i love cooking and baking. but, last night proved that i should could keep my day job. stay at home mom. unless, somebody wants to send me to school to perfect my skill or lack there of.

#1 - i used a box cake mix (i don't think ppl would come to my store to buy cupcakes from a 'box' recipe)
#2 - i don't have a steady hand (just wait til you see the pics)
#3 - they were pretty dry. gross. nothing worse than wanting a really moist cupcake and you take a bite and it is DRY!!
(i wonder if it had anything to do with the 'box' mix? hmmm....
