we all know that summer is fast approaching which means that school is about to let out!! yay! we love summer around here.
e has been attending mother's day out for a little over a year now and LOVING IT!! he has learned a lot in a years time, not surprising since i have always been scholarly and studious....oh, wait a minute, i ALWAYS wished i was those things. ha!! if only i had applied myself more....hmmm (daydreaming).
anyways, when i was picking e up from school yesterday his class was 'rehearsing' their program. i peaked in to see what was going on and observing my child sitting in his chair with hands in lap and attentively listening and participating!!! wow! he can sit still!! i digress. ok, ok, so, i decided to 'sneak' in and sit in the back and watch. i was so impressed with his teachers. i mean, he was sitting STILL, being QUIET, reciting the 10 commandments, counting to 50, on and on!!
THEN he spotted me. it was like i could see the transformation taking place in s-l-o-w motion. the fingers slowly entering his mouth, the nose getting all scrunched up, AND then the water works! it was as if a speeding car ran smack into a fire hydrant. CRYING, CRYING, CRYING!!
what happened? where did my well-behaved, genius little boy go?
we ended up leaving school in tears & yes, he was still crying too!
SO, today is the big program where all the kids family and friends {a.k.a. paparazzi} show up to watch their shining star. let's just say i'm SUPER nervous and i'm not proud to say that i have bribed e with ANYTHING he wants IF he doesn't cry and acts like a big boy.
i've been praying that e will be a little angel!! i'm gonna expect the best but, be prepared for the worst!
what's it gonna be...?

Just in from SITSta's again. Good luck today. I hope he gives you the performance of a life time. And even if he does cry when he see's you it will still melt your heart! Trust me mine will be 13 this summer and everyday I wonder where the time has gone....
oh wow, I will be praying....I know he will do awesome and make his mama proud!
