OH! MY! WORD!

for of those of you that know me well you know that i am not a fan of snakes, bugs, rodents, etc. they terrify me, always have and always will. so, i think that the lord really has a sense of humor by giving me two boys who i know will probably one day walk in our house with one of these 'things' in their little hands! i get chills just thinking about it. obviously, i know they have a 'purpose' for being here. but, seriously, why?!?!? i have a list of unanswered questions that i want to ask the lord one day and this one will definitely be at the top of the list!!

so, the REAL reason behind this post still makes me uneasy as i begin to put out there in the blogging world. apparently, over the weekend, a man and his wife were riding in the car on a road trip (they live in south africa)! as they are enjoying the beautiful scenery of south africa the man feels something on his leg. he thinks it is a bug or something like that. he looks down at his leg and sees that a SPITTING KING COBRA is wrapping itself around his leg! ***OH MY WORD!!!*** i might have had a heart attack or wrecked the car at that point. my reaction would have been to scream bloody murder but, this man played it cool. don't forget that his wife is beside him in the car! the 69 year old, said his wife immediately put her feet up on the dashboard(like that was gonna keep this snake from her). apparently, they are 100 miles away from civilization. so, they drive the 100 miles with this huge snake wrapped around his leg and the snakes head is up as high as his knee. i have no idea how this man and woman drove like this. i would be a complete basket case!

when they reach civilization, they contacted a snake expert to help retrieve this spitting cobra. the man has said that he is not the panicky type. i would say so!

i mean, can any of you imagine what that would be like? i am famous for checking the toilet before i sit down to see if a snake is hiding or checking the dryer before i take clothes out or put them in...they can come in through the dryer hose!! i know, i know i'm a little paranoid!!

i would love to know what you would do if you looked down while you were driving and saw a spitting king cobra wrapped around your leg? what would you do?
