Catching Up

Hi Friends!!

It has been a while since I have blogged. Our little family has been busy prepping for the Christmas season. We have also been passing the sickies around and then back around. It seems like this year EVERYONE is sick with the flu, stomach bug or sinus infection. I was up most of last night with John Daniel who sounded like he was hacking up a lung! Jim is still feeling the strains of a pretty bad sinus infection and I'm not feeling great either!! :/ So...it looks like we will be missing church this morning :(

I also want to shout from the rooftops that Jim has finished school for this semester!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! This was a tough one for all of us. I just want to brag on my hubby for a bit. He works a full time job, goes to school full time and does reserve duty one weekend a month!! He was staying up til 1 and 2 in the morning trying to get school work done then getting up for work!! I know how difficult this season has been for Jim and yet he never complains! Me on the other hand? Well, The Lord is working in me :) ha! Jim has a whole month off from school and I can just see the stress melting off of him!!!

We have been praying for some very specific things lately and asking The Lord to show us which avenues to go down and which to avoid! We are currently walking through one of those doors and it looks promising and we couldn't be more excited and thrilled for what The Lord is doing!

The boys are as funny as ever! This past Friday I was cleaning the house and decided to deep clean the boys bedrooms and filter through all the junk they accumulate. I told John Daniel that I wanted him to do his best to keep it like it was! {jokes in me}. He walks in his room, looks around and says, "I DON'T THINK I LIKE WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH THE PLACE"!! I busted out laughing!! I mean, seriously?? Where does he come up with this stuff!

Elijah is really into football lately! I was going through his book bag the other day and there were probably 15-20 papers with football plays in them. He said, "don't throw those away". I came up with those plays and I need to study them!! Ha!! I guess in the Fall we will be at the football field :)

I've also been trying a lot if new Pinterest recipes lately and they've all been good!! Today we are having Cheese Tortellini and Tomato Soup with garlic bread :)

Jake, the Elf came to visit us on December 1st and brought us a fun little breakfast :)

Our Christmas Tree this year!!!
I just love this time of year!!!
