john daniel is 20 months old and i feel like he was just a baby.
we've reached another milestone with him this weekend
{sleeping in a big boy bed}
we knew we wanted to change his crib to the toddler after the christmas time but, i was feeling a bit sad.
he's my last baby.
and
i wanted to keep him that way for a bit longer...
but, i knew we needed to go ahead and do it.
plus,
jim was ready and willing to change the crib.
so...we went for it.
we talked to john daniel and explained what we were doing.
and
of course he just smiled :o)
we were prepared for how things went when we did this transition with elijah.
which consisted of him getting out of the bed 20 plus times and getting a pop on the leg each time.
but, it only took one day of that and he was good.
nap time came and i took extra time with john daniel and told him he could not get out of his bed or stand in bed or anything like that.
so, i shut the door and came downstairs and got busy doing somethings around the house.
after about 30 minutes, jim and i looked at each other and thought:
he's asleep...he didn't get out bed :o)
praise the lord!!!
i really couldn't believe it.
not one problem.
at all.
he has done great and he loves his big boy bed!!!
the lord has really been blessing in ways were never imagined...especially, lately.
and
this may seem minor to some...but, this was a huge praise report for us.
we are so thankful for all the lord has done.
all the ways he blesses us even if in the scheme of life they seem small!!

That's soooo great. I've heard a lot of horror stories with that transition; which this def isn't! Good for you guys.
A Big Boy Bed! Good for him, but I know sad for you... :(
Yes, I've heard horror stories of how the kid is waaaaaaaaayyyyy older than should, and still sleeping with Mom and Dad...well, not like teenage years!!! Gross! Just older kids....
{shut up Jody...}
aw, this is so precious.
That's great!!!
That is too cute girl! XOXO
Wow, a big boy bed! I am so nervous doing that with Mollie cause I feel like I will lose all control!! that's great for him, way to go!
That is thankful, my coworker is going through that same transition now, and having a terrible time. Their son is up ALL THE TIME at night, and they are tired like having a newborn. Lucky YOU!
