Wishing & Dreaming

for the past several years one one of my new year's resolutions was to take more pictures.
for the most part i have followed through because i personally think i have two of the cutest boys on this planet. having said that, i think i need to tweak my new years resolution a bit.
why? well, because my current camera which is this...

panasonic dmc-lz3

basically, this camera is the PITS -- the pits i tell you!!!!

i have read everything i can about how to get a good picture out of this camera;
basically, it's kind of like trying to get blood from a turnip -- NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!
this is frustrating me to no end -- i want to capture my boys' expressions when they happen and all i get is a blurry picture or the camera doesn't capture the expression i am trying to get!! ugh!

i have been searching and asking around about different cameras to try to figure out exactly what i want.

and here it is....

nikon d60

isn't she a beauty?
i want her
i need her

but, i will have to keep wishing & dreaming!!!

what are your suggestions for cameras?

Unfortunately I LOVE Kodak! My dog, Brody however liked it also; a little too much. He ate it. :( I would love to be more of a "photographer" but I'm a more point and shoot kinda gal!;) Good luck!!!

My best friend has that Nikon camera and she loves it. However it's pretty heavy. She complains about the weight alot.

I have the Nikon D80 and I love it.. but it's almost too much camera. I don't think I'll ever learn all the functions/features nor would I need them. I have several friends who have the D60 love it! I think it's a little more user friendly.

Me? I'm a Canon kinda girl. Haha. I would love to have a DSLR like the one you listed, but I am 17 so I don't have the funds. Haha! Instead I have what they call a bridge camera: in between a point and shoot and a DSLR. I have a Canon PowerShot SX 110is 9MP. I LOVE IT!!! It takes amazing pictures, and has a lot of custom settings. You can check out my pictures [and camera] at my blog: http://kyleecosgrove.blogspot.com/ if you would like. Good luck and I hope you get the camera you want. :)

Oh no.. I meant from the first time I left you a comment..!! Anyway.. I'm from Milledgeville. I go back there all the time because my parents and siblings are still there. I went to school at North Georgia in Dahlonega.. (my husband went to GA Tech)... Where do you live??

We had a fuji that I hated. So when my husband accidentally broke it, we bought a canon. Now, I wanted the fancy expensive one, but we couldn't really afford it. So we bought the Canon powershot A590. It was reasonable, around $200 and I love it! It takes great pictures, and it's small enough to fit in the diaper bag. Because where the baby goes, so does the camera! :)

I have the Nikon D60 and LOVE it! I actually purchased mine through the government link of Ritz Camera (through AAFES.com). They give a military discount and have a great set that comes with 2 lenses! My Mom has the Canon and prefers mine as it has the same features, but the Canon is much heavier. I absolutely LOVE taking pictures now!

Love the new blog layout!
