so, today i broke my little toe. ouch!!
we are staying at my parents house since all of my household is packed up and i'm a bit out of my daily routine. having said that, i'm having to keep my eye on john daniel a lot more because of no baby gates upstairs and he is in to everything b/c it is all 'new' to him.
this a.m. while i was getting ready it got really quiet and i went searching for lil bit and right when i turned the corner -- he was at the top of the stairs. i totally freaked out and yelled NO JOHN DANIEL!!! all the while i 'leapt' forward to grab him and tripped (imagine that) and my little toe rammed into the wall.
ouch.
well, now it is black and blue and hurting.
i knew it was broken and also knew that you can't really do anything for broken toes.
other than putting 'medical tape' around them or in my case 'masking tape'!!
it looks pretty ridiculous but, feels 100% better with the tape around it.
the only time it really hurts is when i try walking on it.
yeah....so, that shouldn't be a problem!
my 4 yr old and 15 month old are peaceful little angels who sit and read books all day!!
ha! ha! ha!
i guess things could be worse -- i could have broken my BIG toe!!!
oh and did i mention that i'm moving on saturday and have lots of running around to do?!?!
i wish i had a picture to show you my 'gimped up' toe and the 'classy' bandage (masking tape) i have.
but, i don't!!
the camera is packed which is a whole other post in itself.
i wanted to take pictures of our trek across country.
oh well!!!

sorry about your toe!! I think hitting your toe is one of the worst pains ever!!
Oh Jenn!! I'm so sorry. I can't believe you AND Amy broke toes within a week of each other. Praying you heal quickly amidst moving and little boys, etc., etc.

Oh no! I'm sorry about your toe, I hope the pain goes away and that your busy weekend won't be too much for it!

EWwww... don't let those other nice ladies fool you a black toe=gross! ;) :-p Hope you get to feeling better soon. PS: I am sensing some sarcasm in regard to the angelic nature of your boys -- are you implying that they don't just sit and read and behave all. of. the. time?! ;)
Maybe you didn't say, but I'm curious you are moving from where? To where??
